The first big motorsport event of each year is the Victoria Day Speedfest at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. For 2017, we were excited to be right in the middle of the action, hosting a weekend long feast for the Mantella Autosport team in the 6th Gear Lounge.
This Ontario based team were top competitors in the Pirelli World Challenge series in their KTM X-Bow racers. Not long after this event, the team was featured in the TV show Private Eyes with Jason Priestley.

Lunch
Mario & Carroll
You knew that Carroll Shelby was a chicken farmer, but did you know that Mario Andretti had a pet pig called Martini?
Our tribute to these two legends includes succulent slow smoked pork side ribs and chicken, finished on the grill with our signature Gear Lube BBQ sauce.
Baked brown beans and tossed green salad are served, along with maple corn bread.
Dinner
Change Lanes Jerk
Named after our Jamaican style jerk BBQ rub, this is real deal caribbean fare. Jerk chicken, rice & slaw are the traditional favourites of race fans at Jamaica’s Dover Raceway.
Moist and juicy boneless chicken thighs are grilled to perfection and served alongside coconut rice and beans and creamy cole slaw. Real coco bread is served for those who wish to make a sandwich.
Saturday
Lunch
The Porker
This is the one that is making us famous in Ontario racing circles.
Canadian pork shoulder, treated with our Smoke Show BBQ rub before being smoked for hours over a fire fueled by locally sourced apple wood. Crusty rolls will be served for sandwich lovers.
Served with traditional creamy potato salad and coleslaw.
Dinner
The Big Ron
Named for the Mayor of Mosport, this one is a serious meal!
Grilled to order strip loin steaks, seasoned with our Brake Dust steak spice and served with blue cheese butter. Baked russet potatoes are served with all the fixings, alongside grilled mixed vegetables.
Sunday Lunch
Spring Trophy Winner
Local meat purveyor The Elite Meat Company is known nationally for their succulent pork products.
Considered by many to be the best in Canada, we lightly grill Elite’s peameal bacon and serve with crusty rolls. As if that weren’t enough, we’ll be grilling up Elite’s most incredible European style Cevapcici. We like to think of them as the two bite brownie of the sausage world.
Served with Warm Maple Bacon Potatoes and Greek salad.
